Getting Started – Game Requirements
In order to play one has to obtain two user accounts:
- A SWTOR account is used to log-in into the game and access the www.swtor.com website. To create an SWTOR account you can do so at the SWTOR Account Registration. You need to have a valid email address.
- An Origin account for Star Wars: The Old Republic account (SWTOR) is NOT needed, but is encouraged by SWTOR for streamlined game downloads and updates. This Orgin account is used to get access to Electronic Arts’ (EA) online web store and download manager. You can create a new Origin account by going to the Origin Account Registration
- Note: The account creation will be taken care of during the installation process if you do not already have SWTOR account.
You need purchase a copy of the game. There are three different editions of Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR).
- Standard Editions – $59.99 (£44.99 / €54.99),
- Digital Deluxe Editions – $79.99 (£59.99 / €74.99)
- Collector’s Editions – $149.99 (£129.00 / €149.99)
