Trooper Guide

Not everyone carries a lightsaber, some just have the will to fight. The Republic military has begun recruiting from within its own ranks, creating cutting-edge Special Forces squads for the inevitable day when the war with the Sith Empire beings anew. These teams are comprised of the most talented and disciplined soldiers. These Troopers are the embodiment of the Republic military’s highest aspirations.

Troopers are equipped to face any foe in any environment. The Trooper’s greatest weapons are their indomitable spirit, their unwavering sense of duty and their undying loyalty. Troopers combine leadership with suppression fire, a variety of explosives and incendiary weapons.

Class Role

The Trooper can fulfill any role in the game, including DPS (damage dealing), tanking, and even healing depending on the advanced class you pick. The Trooper has two advanced classes available to it: The Vanguard and the Commando. The Vanguard advanced class can be a Tank or DPS, while the Commando Advanced class can be a Healer or DPS.

Equipment

Troopers will wear Heavy armor that provides maximum protection and flexibility in multiple environments. Troopers can use Blaster Rifles (Vanguard) or Assault Cannon’s (Commando). Troopers will want to have Aim as their primary stat/attribute on their gear whether they are DPS or healing. Tank Troopers will want endurance, Shield and Defense.

Abilities and Combat

Vanguard

Trooper Vanguard

The Vanguard is a ranged advanced specialization that has two talent trees available to it: The Shield Specialist and Tactics. Shield Specialist is the tanking tree and is highly based around shields. The Trooper excels very well at ranged tanking.

The Tactics Specialization tree focuses on helps the Vanguard do some DPS, but if you’re looking to be a DPS Trooper, then it’s recommended to be a Commando.

Commando

Trooper Commando

The Commando is an exciting class, and there are two unique talent trees available: Gunnery and Combat Medic. The Gunnery Specialization allows the Commando to focus on high powered ranged DPS (damage per second).

The Combat Medic specialization tree is the Trooper healing talent tree. This tree has AOE (Area of Effect) heals such as [Kolto Bomb] and HOT’s (Heal over time) such as [Trauma Probe], which makes this tree a very powerful healing specialization.

Starship

The BT-7 Thunderclap is the Republic’s largest and most elite rapid assault ship. With state-of-the-art armor plating and heavy laser cannons that provide exceptional combat capability, modular shield systems protect the Thunderclap from enemy fire, and the ship’s design deflects blaster fire away from crucial components in the event of a shield failure. The main deck contains a high-tech command center and briefing room, a secure armory, and a medical bay. Personal space is above average and recreational facilities are available for increased quality of life for the squad during extended missions.
