Jedi Consular Guide

Jedi Consulars channel the power of the Force for strength in combat and wisdom in dipolomacy. Intimate attunement with the deepest Force mysteries gives the Jedi Consulars the insight and empathy to deftly handle charged conflicts that confound even the most cunning Senators and governors.
Consulars can anticipate and deflect enemy attacks with fluid strikes from their dual-bladed lightsaber and channel the force to do their will.
Class Role
The Jedi Consular is one of two force-wielding classes available. Jedi Consulars can either be a melee damage-dealer or tank as a Jedi Shadow Advanced Class while the Consular can also specialize in being a caster that deals damages or heals as the Jedi Sage.
Equipment
Jedi Consulars avoid heavy battle armor that is worn by many Jedi Knights. Jedi Consulars prefer to wear light cloaks and ornamented robes and thus they wear Light Armor. The main primary attribute/stat that all Jedi Consulars want is Willpower whether they are doing melee damage, caster damage or healing.

Recommended Crew Skills (Professions)
Synthweaving, Archaeology and Underworld Trading

Synthweaving will allow you to create your own powerful Light Armor gear (it can also create medium armor for other classes).
Some of the items that you can make for your Jedi Sage or Jedi Shadow with Synthweaving are the following items:
- [Exotech Force-Master's Vestments]
- [Exotech Force-Master's Headgear]
- [Exotech Force-Master's Lower Robe]
- [Rakata Stalker's Waistwrap]
- [Rakata Force-Master's Bracers]
If you pick Synthweaving as one of your crew skills then you should also get the Archaeology and Underworld Trading crew skills. These two crew skills will give you most of the materials you will need for Synthweaving.
Abilities and Combat
Jedi Shadow![]() The Jedi Shadow is a melee damage-dealer and tank. The Jedi Shadow uses force abilities to reduce damage. They can also use stealth. This advanced class is best for players who wish to play a melee/force-wielding hybrid class that can either tank or deal damage. The melee-damage branch of the Jedi Shadow, which is the Infiltration specialization, is much like a rogue in other MMO’s. They have assassination-oriented talents which offer them the ability to pierce armor with their attacks. The Kinetic Combat specialization of the Jedi Shadow would be the Jedi Shadow tanking specialization. However, this tree also allows for a great deal of damage to be done while leveling and at the same time you are able to absorb a large amount of damage. |
Jedi Sage![]() The Jedi Sage is the caster specialization of the Jedi Consular. The Jedi Sage can be a caster that deals damage as the Telekinetics specialization or they can be a healer via the Seer specialization. Although you curently can not respec your advanced class, you are allowed to respec within your advanced class…meaning that you can change specializations at any time. With this being said if you plan on being a healer end game, and you are leveling solo then you should spec into the Jedi Sage Telekinetics tree while leveling, and then respec to the Seer (healing) specialization after you hit 50. If you plan on being Jedi Sage DPS endgame, then just specialize in the Telekinetics tree right off the bat. |

C2-N2 – Comes with Corellian Defender Combat Type: Non-combat, but can craft and do missions. |
Suggested Companion: If you decided to go Jedi Shadow it would be best to use Theran Cedrex as a companion since he will be able to heal you as you quest and thus you spend less time healing yourself and more time finishing quests.
If you are Jedi Sage that went Seer (healing) you are either going to want to use your Melee Tank Qyzen Fess or ranged damage Zenith (as long as you can keep him up he will do more damage and help you complete quests faster, otherwise use Qyzen) and just keep them up and let them do the tanking.
If you are a Jedi Sage Telekinetics specialization then you can either use Theran Cedrex to keep you healed while you do most of the damage, or you can use Zenith to DPS and you will have to either have to regen health slightly more frequently, or just throw him some heals inbetween doing damage.
